My Talented Friends

A couple of weeks ago at our quilt group some of the girls showed their latest projects.

My friend, Donna made this beautiful quilt from a Bonnie Blue Quilts pattern called Shiloh.  She is donating it to an Historical Society in her town and they are hanging it in an historical home.  I just loved it and it reinforces my desire to make a 'Civil War' era quilt.   That's Donna peeking around the side!!

Another friend, Nancy P did this gorgeous Christmas quilt from a Primitive Gathering pattern.  It had embroidery and applique.  She did a great job with it.  Sue is getting a 'up close' look at it!!  LOL

And then Mary made this darling little Schnibble.  She started it at our retreat in the Spring and now has it quilted up.  It was so pretty.

This is part of the reason I like being part of a quilt group - it constantly inspires you to do something outside your comfort zone or at least just admire their work.

On another note, my darling, sweet husband put in an air conditioner upstairs for us today.  Just in time for a high of 97 tomorrow!  He is my hero!
